Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a highly reputable company in the energy industry. This role is a 6 month initial position based at their Lincoln office one day per week.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the execution and delivery of Engineering works on existing turbines globally. Previous Project Management experience in turbines or delivering upgrades/retrofits in mechanical equipment any relevant Oil & Gas / Power projects would be ideal. You will proactively manage the project, engaging with engineering, supply chain, field service and commercial teams to ensure the purchased scope is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality and safety levels.
Responsibilities:
- The coordination, planning and execution of the engineering phases
- Working with supply chain to ensure materials are ordered and supplied on time and in full
- Communication and coordination skills are essential and key to success
- Facilitating technical discussions with the engineering teams
- Clearly understanding requirements of the client, so that they can be actioned by the Lincoln organisation, are a key part in the early stages of a project.
- Working with the planner to manage OTD (on time delivery)
- Commercial discussions with the CPM (Commercial PM) team to manage the trading position are a regular
- requirement.
- Arranging Installation / Commissioning upgrades on turbine packages around the world
- Once the work is ready to start on site, briefing of the field service team and site management is required. Close working relationships with both regions and end users are essential.
- The use of SAP, One PM, MS-Project and general IT tools as needed.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
- Previous project experience with Turbines or any other relatable experience - Oil & Gas / Power projects would be beneficial
- Experience in upgrades / retrofits in mechanical equipment would be ideal
- Experience working with Engineering team (Electrical / Mechanical Engineering systems)
- Previous Technical background in a relatable field would be desirable
- Degree level or equivalent technical degree is preferred but not essential.
- APM, PRINCE2 or PMI qualifications are desirable
- A clear and organised mind, enabling reflection on the best way to manage difficult situations
- Good communication skills, not all our customers have English as their first language
- You will bring Enthusiasm and commitment to the team
- Knowledge and experience would be beneficial good, however training can be provided
