Job title - SAP Transport Management & Interface Key User

Location: Waltham

Contract length: 12 months 

Rate: £19 to £22 per hour PAYE Inside IR35 

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for an SAP Transport Management & Interface key User to work for a leading global pet care company offering a wide range of pet food, health services, and veterinary care, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of pets worldwide.

The Role:

The Transport Management Key User is the process & system expert for the UK Market Supply Chain Logistics Operations Team with regards to our Freight to Customer Transport processes for the brand’s petcare business. The role is a critical element in sustaining, improving and supporting change in our Supply Chain to achieve operational excellence. 

Responsibilities:

• Expert Knowledge - Knowledge expert for the SAP processes/functions associated with the Freight to Customer process. Expert understanding of all the interfaces and electronic messaging between FirstB2B and our 3rd party transport providers. Owner of the electronic Advanced Shipping Notes (ASN's) which are sent from our warehouse WMS systems to some of the company’s customers on our behalf.
• 1st Level Support - Assist with issues raised by the Logistics Operations & Customs associates on freight to customer processes and related systems.
• Set-up any new haulier connections via FirstB2B. Ensure all local system users have the appropriate level of system access / authorisations, including FirstB2B access.
• Advanced Training - Train associates as business processes and related systems develop and change. Support the onboarding of new associates by ‘training the trainers’.
• Process Change - Identify, manage & often lead process change to improve operational performance by implementing locally identified efficiencies & European & Global Best Practice processes.
• Support Supply Chain projects through from Concept and Initiation to Deployment and Nurture, sharing process knowledge and technical expertise.
• Systems Testing - Complete the Periodic System testing, assessing the impact to the UK market and identifying changes that would benefit us.
• Complete testing as needed for developments and projects, highlighting any issues to the business and the company DT.
• Documentation - Document local processes to ensure key knowledge is captured and retained and best practice is defined and documented. Ensure any documentation is QMS compliant.
• European Connection - Provide a proactive contribution into the European network of key users and functional experts from other sites / countries.
• Contract Management - Manage the relationship between FirstB2B and The business; holding FirstB2B to account and ensuring work gets completed in the agreed timeframe and to company standards.

 

Key Skills and experience required:

• Very strong operational SAP skills and Interface understanding
• Naturally curious with an unaccepting attitude to maintaining the status quo
• Sound intellectual capability in order to rapidly understand potentially unfamiliar concepts and processes
• Action- and results-orientated with the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at various levels within the business
