Job title - Interim Accountant 

Location: Nottingham

Contract length: 6 months + extension

Rate: £200 per day PAYE

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for an Accountant to work for a  global leader in energy technology.

The Role:

This role will work closely with the wider finance team & provide opportunities in a range of topics to support the business.

This is a standard BAU (business as usual) role requiring your support for a specific project. We are looking for someone who can quickly become a valuable contributor. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end reporting & analysis in line with internal timetables.
• Responsible for making assigned month-end journal postings and submissions.
• Preparation of inputs for the annual tax pack process & RIC Controls
• Support in process improvement initiatives across the wider finance team
• Aid the annual budget & forecast process
• Providing guidance & support training on topics within the team 
• Involvement in audits  

 

Key Skills and experience required:

 

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent / Part Qualified with relevant experience
• Good prior experience as an accountant (industry or practice experience acceptable)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivots, formulas, vlookups)
• Strong knowledge of SAP & Excel
• Self motivated & adaptable approach
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to effectively work independently as well as within teams
• Adaptable & flexible approach to work
