Pay rate: £20 - £25 per hour DOE

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a Operational Buyer on behalf of a leading energy company.

Job purpose: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operational Buyer to join the established team in Ulverston on a 9-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for operations

Responsibilities:

? Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable pricing and delivery.

? Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and requirements

? Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service

? Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to support operational needs

? Execute purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials in accordance with project timelines

? Work closely with stakeholders to resolve supply chain issues and maintain smooth operations

? Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and supplier performance

Qualifications/Experience:

? Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.

? Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

? Proficiency in procurement software/tools and MS Office Suite.

? Experience in SAP is desirable ? Excellent time-management abilities.

? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
