Job title - Billing Analyst

Location: Reading - Hybrid: 1 day pw currently

Contract length: Rolling contract 

Rate: £190.00 Umbrella / £142.00 PAYE - Inside IR35

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Billing Analyst to work for a leading mass media and telecoms organisation.

Role:

The purpose of this role is to support the organisation through receiving and validating Transmission & Telephony invoices for any discrepancies and ensuring that they are paid in a timely manner against contractual agreements. 

 

• To receive supplier invoices, check for accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Ensuring no under or over payments are made 
• Responsibility for raising POs and ensuring funds are in place for payments in line with payment terms  
• Serve as a lead interface for supplier commercial issues 
• Billing and commercial analyst responsibilities
• Ensure invoices are aligned with contract commercials 
• Create efficiencies and drive cost saving projects
• Check pricing is aligned with the contracts  

Responsibilities:

• Validate Transmission & Telephony invoices against contractual agreements. 
• Understand contract commercials and any variations to make sure invoice charges are correct and aligned
• To receive supplier invoices, check for accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Ensuring no under or over payments are made
• Serve as the lead interface with suppliers on commercial issues
• Highlight and resolve any billing discrepancies or queries with suppliers
• Ensure that suppliers fulfil their UK & contractual obligations
• Produce quarterly billing statistics to present to suppliers
• Ensure supplier invoices are paid in a timely manner 
• Responsible for raising CPAs/ POs so suppliers are paid within their payment terms
• Obtain relevant sign offs
• Identify processes and practices, which will enhance the productivity of the group.
• Perform reviews of current practices and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Billing and commercial analyst responsibilities
• Manipulate vast amounts of data to analyse any commercial issues
• Create Ad Hoc reporting and deliver within agreed timescales
• Responsible for maintaining pricing in our internal database
• Lead on Billing validation review meetings
• Managing stakeholders & Suppliers
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders & Suppliers 
• Run supplier billing review meetings
• Keep relevant teams informed on progress
• Collaborating and communicating effectively
• Maintain good communication and a positive relationship with internal teams of which we have regular contact i.e. Radio, Finance, Legal and Procurement.
• Provide support to fellow TPG team members as required, promoting a positive team culture and achieving shared goals.

Key Skills and experience required:

• Intermediate Excel, to be able to manipulate vast amounts of data
• Organised, methodical and attention to detail is key.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify analysis and present results clearly at all levels of the business
• Proactivity
• Able to work to deadlines and manage time efficiently
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and customer centric service skills.
• Ability to work independently & be self-motivated

 

Essential Experience:

• Billing background
• Analytical
• Attention to detail - have an eye for detail, and ability to spot errors
• Able to understand if prices need changing 
• Able to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks  
• Be comfortable with making sure payments are made on time
• Ability to work independently and proactively - self motivated
• Also be able to follow directions 
• Excel - pivots, formulas, vlookups - Intermediate level
