Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Risk & Control Oversight role on behalf of a global Investment Bank. This role is flexible with hybrid working: 2-3 days per week in their London office, on a 12 month contract.

 

The successful Regulatory Risk & Control Oversight candidate will report to the Head of Central Compliance and discharge the Compliance Regulatory Risk & Control Oversight and Control function for Regional Compliance UK (‘RC UK’), mitigating compliance risk and supporting the financial crime, markets compliance and central compliance functions. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the Policy Coordination role for the Department, liaising with the Group Compliance Policy Portal Team.
  • Act as a regulatory risk subject-matter expert across financial crime, markets and banking regulatory obligations and their impact on the London business, including liaising with the 2nd line and 1st Line, overseeing their respective implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Coordinate the annual Compliance Control Self-Assessment (CSA) exercise for RC UK and liaising with the IC Non-Financial Risk team (NFR) to support the overarching London control self-assessment.
  • Coordinate the annual Compliance Risk Analysis exercise on behalf of RC UK teams, monitoring deliverables and reporting to local Senior Management.
  • Support the Regulatory Risk & Control Oversight programme' oversight of regulatory compliance and regulatory risks pertaining to applicable financial crime, markets and banking rules and obligations, acting as deputy where required. This includes acting as the London Regulatory Forum Secretary and Deputy Chair for this meeting.
  • Support the periodic update of Compliance SMF Reasonable Steps documentation from a regulatory perspective.
  • Liaise with Compliance Assurance on relevant Compliance reviews and assist with remediation of findings where appropriate.

 

 Key Skills / Experience Required:

  • Previous Banking experience in a financial institution on an international scale
  • Strong knowledge of UK regulatory obligations and how they impact corporate and wholesale market business.
  • Compliance knowledge, especially regarding risk categories, and an understanding of the basic regulatory requirements and the principles of operational business management
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory framework 
  • Experience in regulatory change/functions
  • Knowledge of RSA Archer is ideal but not essential
  • Completed course of university studies or completed commercial training (e.g., as a qualified banker ("Bankkaufmann")) or adequate specific banking training, supplemented by additional specialist qualifications in the field of project management
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Proficient use of MS-Office
