Job title - Business Data Analyst  

Location: Warwick - hybrid working
You will need to be able to drive and have your own transport to get to the office, as public transport links are not great.

Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office, 2 days a week from home

Contract length: 12 months

Start: ASAP 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day 

Rate: c. £19ph PAYE - Inside IR35 


Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for someone to do Business I /nformation Data Analysis to work for a world leader in energy technology.
This business provides solutions for global power generation and oil and gas projects.

The Role:

Working in the gas turbines part of the business, you would be joining the digitalisation team which manages all operational data, and parts tracking for the turbines.
This role will mainly be focussed on life limited parts.

Digitalisation services for Energy uses Data to help their customers. Using the data generated from energy assets and integrating it with other sources they can gain powerful insights that are used to develop customized service solutions crafted specifically to meet customers’ needs, whether it is increased assets efficiency, reliability, flexibility, availability, or all the above. This information is widely used to drive efficient business decisions and achieve optimum business performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing data quality cases
  • Chasing PM Operational data/Late Reporting
  • Identify data anomalies
  • LLP UI/Release Certs/Tv/PSW/Arisings
  • Host data quality meetings
  • Entering operational service events
  • Updating Salesforce records
  • Contract checks to ensure they are up to date
  • Be a OnePM SME for LTP cross-checks
  • Establish and maintain the relationships with our internal and external partners to proactively ensure a constant and timely flow of information.
  • Provide data support services, this will include the management of ad-hoc business data requests and regular reporting.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of processes for
  • ensuring data quality as well as creating new data supply chains.
  • You will take an active part in validating the data handled in the department and will input and update the data in various systems accordingly.
  • Be the process owner for various data supply chains and will be responsible for their management.
  • Ensure data supply chains perform to agreed service levels through effective use of metrics and maintain operational continuity.
  • Lead improvement projects and initiatives, being actively involved in the digitalization, systematisation, and automation processes.

 

Key Skills and experience required:

 

  • Analytical mindset 
  • Advanced Excel
  • Good with communications, chasing stakeholders - you’ll also be posting communications 
  • Need someone who works well within a team
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering would be ideal  
  • Academic degree in Information Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior professional experience working in a customer-facing environment, with either external or internal customers
  • Proficient in the standard office tools (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and will have good numerical skills.
  • A clear and efficient communicator with excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Previous experience in data analysis and reporting BI Tools especially using Tableau
  • You will have a track record of delivered improvement initiatives / projects, preferably in the areas of digital / systems /automation.
  • Ability to understand and rapidly adapt to a new business environment and the processes therein.
  • A broad outlook combined with analytical mind-set: ability to make logical connections and understand the big picture quickly, as well as having a critical eye for data-driven improvements.
  • A proactive, well-organised and result-focused approach
  • Able to build collaborative relationships across multiple functions in a diverse, international environment.
  • Passionate about data-driven solutions and have a curiosity about data, information, and emerging digital trends.
  • Prior experience in using Tableau, Qlikview, AWS, SQL, SAP and database management, Salesforce
