Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a Packaging Compliance Technologist on behalf of a leading FMCG company.
Job purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Packaging Compliance Technologist to join the established team on an initial 12-month contract basis. The Packaging Compliance Technologist is responsible for ensuring that all packaging materials and processes comply with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance strategies, conducting audits, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all packaging materials comply with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement packaging compliance strategies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments of packaging processes and materials.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards, ensuring timely communication and implementation.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance throughout the packaging lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to packaging compliance, including certificates, reports, and audits.
- Support sustainability initiatives by ensuring packaging materials meet environmental regulations and company sustainability goals.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Quality mindset: drive for our first principle: “Quality”
- Packaging compliance and Interest in Packaging
- Some experience in a Food Manufacturing environment working in Quality, Food Safety, Engineering or Product/Process development is preferred
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance & Hygiene programs such as HACCP/ISO 22000
- Experience with internal & external audits is desirable
- Experience with standards implementation Is desirable
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of software applications.
- Good project management experience (across quality, efficiency and growth projects) with the ability to motivate and work with a technical team
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent BSc/MSc degree is preferred
