Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a R&D (Research & Development) Regional Systems Functional Analyst on behalf of a global Manufacturing Company.

The successful Analyst will join the Team based at preferably the office in Slough. However, the Paddingron office is also a chosen location. The R&D Analyst will work alongside other Analysts and offer vital Business support within the Confectionary area of the business. The R&D Analyst will also look at Data to support compliance and continuous improvement in this area.

Job Purpose Overview:

To continue to deliver our commitment to the Quality Principle and protect our investment in strategic digital R&D and Quality capabilities, the business requires the right level of sustained functional expert support. The Functional Expert organization provides R&D process and systems expertise to the business units’ end users, in alignment with global and regional process and data requirements. It partners closely with and supports the Companies Digital Technologies in resolving system issues and implementing new capabilities and system improvements.

The role of Regional R&D Systems Functional Analyst has responsibility for operational support in the business units by providing support to Regional Functional Expert in driving business process compliance, continuous improvements/ upgrades, and knowledge management. This role will work closely with the development team and will drive translation of business requirements into technical requirements, defining testing scripts, testing and ensuring effective delivery of those requirements. This role will support Data Custodians with analysis of Traceability issues or Regulatory queries to provide data.

Key Responsibilities:

Key/End User support and Knowledge Management

❑ Providing ad-hoc support as a Second point of escalation on system issues to BU end users and first point of escalation to BU key users.

❑ Strong support for development and maintenance of key/end user training curriculum and

training materials.

❑ Develops and maintains testing documentation (testing scenarios, scripts).

❑ Performance review of service level effectiveness (incident trends, SLAs) to drive continuous improvements.

❑ Partner with the development team to support resolution of system issues/bugs.

❑ Drives rapid response to “Code Red” incidents and support technical teams by providing

functional input into analysis, solutioning, testing and approval.

Governance (Business process and data quality)

❑ Supports regional FEs in process/ data quality compliance and root cause analysis of gaps

with key users/end users.

❑ Performs data analysis of Traceability issues or Regulatory queries as requested by Data

Custodians.

Operational support and Change Management

❑ Incident management.

❑ Support Regional FE in CIP management, focusing on testing (SIT, coordination of UAT and End-to-end testing).

❑ Works closely with the Digital Technologies (DT) team on impact assessment of system

changes.

❑ Definition of business test case scenarios based on business requirements and their

translation to the DT development and testing teams.

❑ Provides input to Data council and Corporate R&D team on reporting improvements and

data analysis tools.

New capability deployment

❑ Supports Functional Expert in deployment activities by executing data and process analysis.

❑ Manages deployment related development requests and service tickets.

❑ Supports Key/end user training journey (defining curriculum, developing training materials, executing training sessions, supports hyper-care).

The role works effectively with various partners (Digital Technologies, Regional R&D Systems Functional Experts, Segment Data Custodians) to support day to day operations of end users by driving quick response to system issues and managing incidents, ensuring robust system testing for any CIPs, bug resolution and new capabilities as well as managing documentation for testing protocols and scripts. This role also supports systems governance and data quality metrics via data analysis and reporting.

Key Skills/ Education/ Experience Required:

❑ Minimum bachelor’s degree in science or IT systems or equivalent in food

safety/food science or related subject area is desirable

❑ Experience with R&D or Quality systems preferred

Knowledge / Experience

❑ Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Fluent in English
