Location/remote: Hammersmith/Reading 2 days a week on site

Contract length: 5 Months initially 

Pay rate: £500-£650 umbrella

Randstad Sourceright, a worldwide RPO & MSP Recruitment Services has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Finance Business Partner to join one of the UKs leading telecommunications companies

The Fraud & Credit Risk programme has been set up to transform the fraud and credit risk performance of the business, aiming to cut losses by 50% in an 18-24 month period. The programme is 9 months through its transformation journey with improvements in performance well underway. The programme has had strong commercial finance support for 4 months and needs this to continue to achieve its goals.

This role is the sole commercial finance support for the programme requiring the individual to bring a strong finance leadership presence to the programme as well as a willingness to get involved in the detail. 

We are looking for someone to build good reporting processes across accounting and FP&A, a strong operational to financial performance link and a strong interest in improving financial performance within the Credit Risk and Fraud teams. 

Key responsibilities & accountabilities 

• Own the forecasting process for fraud and bad debt, agreeing this with business owners and feeding into FP&A.
• Understand and report on month end results, sharing with the Commercial Finance Hod/FD and business owners up to Director and EC level.
• Work with Accounting, Data, Fraud and Credit teams to improve the link between operational performance and the P&L.
• Support thinking behind evolution of key operational dashboards to ensure Credit risk and Fraud teams are focusing on metrics with the largest financial impact.
• Provide finance input to any decision making around bad debt and fraud, considering both these P&L lines and wider impacts.
•  Support the squads with any other financial input necessary.
• Support on other projects to aid delivery of the best outcomes for the P&L

 

Key skills and experience:

 

• The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Ability to work independently and autonomously as a finance expert within a multi-disciplinary squad
• Ability to quickly build strong working relationships in and outside of Finance
• Strong influencing skills from analyst to SLT level
• Strong modelling, excel and powerpoint skills
