Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Shift Worker – Chemical Batch Manufacturing (GMP)  on behalf of a global CDMO organization.

 

Role Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shift Worker to join our chemical batch manufacturing team, producing high-quality drug substances under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions for pharmaceutical companies.

The role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production processes. This position operates on a rotating shift schedule to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Execute chemical batch manufacturing processes, including weighing, and processing raw materials, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records under GMP guidelines.
  • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, such as reactors, centrifuges, and filtration systems, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Adhere strictly to GMP regulations, maintaining accurate documentation, including batch records, logbooks, and deviation reports, to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with quality control, quality assurance, engineering, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and ensure seamless production flow.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct in-process checks, monitor critical process parameters, and report any deviations or abnormalities to supervisors promptly.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process optimization initiatives, sharing insights to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Engage in ongoing training to stay current on GMP standards, safety protocols, and new manufacturing technologies.

 

Key Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry, preferably under GMP conditions
  • Strong understanding of GMP regulations and documentation practices.
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs and batch records with precision.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear PPE as required.
