Job title - Customer Services Support Operator 

Location: Poole
Hybrid: 3 days pw in office, 2 days pw WFH

Contract length: 6 months minimum 

Start: ASAP

Rate: £13.81ph PAYE

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Customer Services Support Operator to work for a global leader in intelligent traffic solutions; they develop innovative mobility concepts for cities, highway authorities and mobility providers.

The Role:

Working as part of the team you will be dealing with customs import and export matters.
In this role you’ll be supporting and communicating with internal stakeholders, mostly by email, sometimes over the phone as well.
Shipment communications come into the general inbox and you will be dealing with these internally and also communicating with couriers by email as well.   

Responsibilities:

• To work independently and in a time critical environment by being the point of contact for  export bookings and ensuring all customs requirements are handled inline with internal and legal procedures.
• Liaise with all internal teams, customs brokers and freight forwarders as necessary
• Ensure all documents are received by the customs broker in a timely manner, including the issuing of clearance instructions
• Maintain accurate records and ensure import and export documents are retained in accordance to HMRC record keeping requirements

 

Key Skills and experience required:

• Excellent administration skills and telephone manner  
• Excel - be confident in using Excel - basic functions
• Attention to detail is very important 

Desirable experience:

• Export Customs Knowledge
• Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other databases or software
• Customer service experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience of using SAP
